The cream of the wine and hospitality worlds gathered in London on Monday evening to celebrate the winners of the World’s Best Wine Lists Awards 2026.
Norway’s Park Hotel Vossevangen ultimately came out on top of a hugely competitive field, taking home the most prestigious prize, the overall Wine List of the Year Award, after being named the winner in two other categories: World’s Best Long Wine List and the World’s Best By-the-Glass List.
On a night where the truly international nature of the awards was once again in evidence, representatives from shortlisted establishments in six continents attended the event at The Savoy Hotel, while the 21 awards were shared between nine different countries.
The USA came top of the medals table after establishments from the country picked up eight awards, with the Park Hotel Vossevangen’s hat-trick giving Norway three awards, followed by France and Singapore with two each.
Hosted by WFW editor and chairman of the World’s Best Wine Lists Awards judges, Neil Beckett, and WFW food editor and World’s Best Wine Lists judge Francis Percival, the ceremony also included the announcement of four Leading Light Awards for Wine in Hospitality, which recognize the work of exceptional individuals in the sector.
“What an honor it is to host this very special awards, and to welcome so many talented professionals from all over the world to celebrate the very best wine hospitality has to offer,” Beckett said. “Every year, the judges’ task gets more difficult, and this year’s winners, runners-up, and shortlisted establishments between them offer a truly diverse range of wine programs that are testament to their immense skill and creativity.”
The World’s Best Wine Lists Awards is a global awards program created in 2014 by the multi-award-winning publication The World of Fine Wine.
Judged according to a rigorous protocol by independent, international panels of leading professionals, including World Champion Sommeliers, Master Sommeliers, Masters of Wine, and highly respected wine writers, it is the first awards program to acknowledge the crucial importance of a good wine selection—regardless of size—in the modern dining experience all round the world.
