BB | Garnet to pink. Intense, mature, refined, vinous nose, with cherries, plums, oranges, minerals, crushed stones, wild herbs, raw red meat—a touch decadent. Medium- to full-bodied, with sweet red and black fruit, super-fine tannins, and a long, clean, inviting, juicy finish. 94
AJ | Dark black-red; clear and bright. Meat and yeast extract or vitamin B scents over a substrate of dark cherry fruit; unusual but attractive. Dense, almost gutsy in the Etna context, with grand tannins. The haunting mountain perfumes are still there, behind, and there is a big Cadillac drive of fruit right down the middle. Not the showiest wine in the tasting, but one with real substance, depth, and satisfaction. 91
MP | Rich, complex, and unashamedly tertiary, with pronounced notes of cooked plum, baked cherries, vanilla, cedar, sandalwood, tinned strawberry, and hyacinth. The balance is excellent with the ripe tannins and zippy acidity holding the intensity of fruit to account. The finish is driven by both structure and the concentrated core of cherry, plum, strawberry, and raspberry. 94
