BB | Dark garnet to pink. Mature, black-fruit, road-tar nose, with black cherries, prunes, smoked red meat, and dried herbs. Slightly overextracted on the palate, yet rich and layered, with firm tannins and a long, herbal, road-tar finish. A little overblown, but generous and characterful. 91
AJ | Very pale garnet-red; slightly cloudy. A little beery (wheat beer), for some reason or another. Slightly odd, and some way adrift of the best of its peers. The constituent elements are good and still in fine fettle, but that rough style profile holds the wine back a bit; drinkable nonetheless. 87
MP | Delicate, floral notes struggle to make their presence felt under the weight of oak. There are notes of rose, acacia, hyacinth, and violet alongside strawberry, rhubarb, and beetroot, but the palate is entirely consumed by oak, which leaves a phenolic coating that is difficult to ignore. There is no chance this will become any more beguiling with age. 86
