SR | The fruit in this 2021 is fully ripe (or even more than that), and intertwined with saline and phenolic notes. Stewed apples and fresh vanilla notes come to my mind. On the palate, this is a rich and generous, very elegant and textured Rosacker Riesling, with serious tannins and a sustained, saline, mineral acidity. The wine is rich yet precise, pure and linear, provided with power and richness yet not lacking tension or finesse. Very young but promising. 93
AJ | This is a fuller gold than its peers, though still by no means a "full gold." Ah: This wine teaches us that Rosacker does have a richer side, too. This is denser and more hoed down, earthier and sappier, but super-vital withal, again with those lovely Rosacker spices complementing the vital, pure, eggshell-perfect, apple-tangerine-vanilla fruits. What a great nose! And the palate, in fact, follows the nose completely. Yes, it is richer than most—but it's still Rosacker, so you are sliding down relatively tightly constrained boundaries; the echoes are still loud, and the penetration is deep, long, and searching, a cadenza of acidity, with fantastic extracts and (if you want) "minerals." Nothing goes this far, not even the best Schoenenbourg—it just drills on through to the other side. A totally authoritative and commanding, riveting wine. Just a little bit bitter at the very end... but I'm carping, and the nose more than compensates. 95
AR | Pale gold in color, this looks a little more evolved than you'd expect from such a young wine; it's pleasantly fresh and fragrant, with a nice balance between citrusy fruit and crisply austere and salty acidity; but it's taking a bit of a walk on the lean side at this early stage of its development, and I think that the jury's out on whether it will fatten up a bit, as I think it needs to, or not. 90
