AK | Pale-straw in the glass leads to a super-aromatic palate that has an edge of soapiness to its floral, Muscat-inspired intensity. The palate counters this with bitter-lemon notes and a light, bright body. Somehow, this seems jarring. The finish is bone-dry and lemony-fresh, but there are other bitter and lifted elements that seem to spoil the pleasure. 84
FP | Dark-straw color. Exotic tropical fruit on the nose: passion fruit, litchee, and mango. This is really very convincing. There is some turbidity—and the finish has the tiniest hint of something biological—but the bright freshness gives the wine real definition and poise. Very charming. 94
DW | Slightly cloudy, yellow-gold in appearance, and with Muscat in full throat on the nose; really inviting and pure; the palate itself has a lovely, substantial texture, it feels satiny and luxurious; but the window is ajar to a full-bloom summer garden of scents; floral, but also lemon thyme and fennel. Just delightful tannic texture and superb length; harmonious, fresh, but headily beguiling and redolent of the Mediterranean. 95
