AK | Deep amber in the glass leads to a honeyed nose, redolent with ripe, yellow juicy apple. The palate is bright and vivid, wonderfully light yet carrying that lovely, tannic frame, featherlight and elegant. The beautiful apple juiciness lasts throughout, as does the depth and length. Lovely and very well done. 90
FP | Light-copper color. Floral and honeyed, the nose here is more compelling than the palate. The tannins are perceptible and fine, but their interaction with the acidity is distinctly mouth-puckering. Lots of weight for only 11% ABV, but there is a slight hollowness to the midpalate. 89
DW | Light gold, clear and bright in appearance. Subtle aromatics, and there's something gentle about this; really intriguing flavors that take in fennel and thyme, chamomile, lemon, and almond; the agile tannins contribute to the feel of infusion rather than extraction. 92
