SF | Dense midnight black; the nose is pleasing, hints of strawberry, buttered toast , nutmeg and quince. The palate is generous, vanillin and butterscotch creeping onto the fame of descriptive vision, the red fruit and floral traits in no way compromised.. Very fine tannins, focuses , articulate but far from intrusive; no feeling of over-ripeness, just an unremitting adherence to the pleasure principle which will make this more approachable than some, sooner than one may have thought, but to the detriment of nothing else and to no-one else either. A lovely kiss of graphite mid-palate too. 94
MS | Quite tight to smell at the moment, but freshly soft ripe cherry fruit, a touch of gravel; full, supple, fresh and finely tannic, a very nice balance; sweet in fruit, pure, juicy, graceful, scented and fragrant, long and gracious, subtly complex, classic fine Pomerol features; a touch of alcohol warmth, but a particularly refined, complete, successful Beauregard (the best to date?), with lovely Cabernet Franc fragrant length to finish. Drink Dates: 2030 - 2045+. 93
