SF | Deep saturated colour, but not as deep a some. Attractive dark fruit aromatic, a touch salty maybe; hints of moist coal and bay leaf...something savoury too...evidence of sophisticated oak ( density , spice and lignified texture) is taken as read, but the fruit is most certainly pure, its quality most impressive. Dense, allusive, and richly nuanced , a spirited and evocative Dome. Sire not to disappoint its very many adherents. 93
AJ | Dark and sombre black-red, though not opaque. Refined and almost secondary notes now from this wine: wooden buildings, swept sawdust, and dry grasses and cured meats, hanging behind the primary fruits (currants, plum, black raspberry). Mellow and enticing. Deep, smooth and sweeping on the palate, striking many of the same notes that the aromatics alerted the drinker to.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2033. 92
MS | A fine, sweet, nobly herbal tinged bouquet, perfume and fruit in equal measure; full, fresh, firmly tannic; a pure, sweet, transparent core fruit gripped a bit by its new wood dryness, subtle at its heart, long and complex and fragrant, and with good length to finish. Fine wine. Fine Le Dome. Just marred a little, for my palate anyway, by an oak tannin which detracts from its overall class and harmony. But that is part of its personality, part of the house style, and probably part of its mature future. Will need a fair amount of time. Drink Dates: 2035 - 2050+. 93
