SF | Deep ruby with just a hit of sepia at the rim; attractive nose, the primary fruit married to burgeoning secondary complexity; stone fruit, then graphite and a hint of the garrigue; sousbois rather than sauvage per se, but very much a mineral-driven terroir example, with the fruit in obeyance rather than the ascendant. Tannins are duplicitous to this end, their softness surprising at this stage, lending the wine a malleable dexterity which means that it will be approachable sooner than one may have thought. 92
MS | A fine, still fairly closed ripe fruit and gravel scented nose, persistent and with a clear touch of oak-vanilla; medium full, fresh in acidity, finely tannic, a restrained, harmonious balance; sweet cored, Margaux delicate yet without any weakness, long and subtle to taste, very fine in its tannin texture, long and fragrant to finish. Very Margaux in constitution and character. So fine textured it will be accessible early, but clearly even more harmonious and subtle in taste and bouquet with time. Lovely Kirwan, lovely Margaux. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2044+. 93
