SF | Dense of hue, with an evocative aromatic which marries violet, peony, pot pourri spice and a hint of incense. A broad, expansive mid-palate, disciplined by the acidic framework and the tannic balustrade, but nonetheless indulgent in celebration of a warm and generous vintage. 93
AJ | Deep black-red. Plump, warm fruits; some graphite. The sweet cast of the Cabernets from Margaux very much in evidence here, and hugely enjoyable, drawing you into the glass. Almost chunky, oak-firmed fruits in this Giscours. Four-square for Margaux; give it a little time to settle, and you'll find much to enjoy. Better matiere here and follow-through than for the Du Tertre.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2034. 91
MS | A subtle, complex nose, gravelly and with the merest hint of a noble herbaceousness, persistent, complex, fine; medium full, fresh and finely tannic, a very nicely balanced rich medium weight constitution; ripe, long and gently complex to taste, subtle, gently dry-textured, long and aromatic to finish. A particularly refined expression of Giscours. Very Margaux in its restrained, delicate, graceful proportions. Ideally leave a few years. Lovely! Drink Dates: 2028 - 2040. 93
