SF | Dense ruby, with modest gradation to the core. Nose of spice, black tea, blueberry and myrtle, then vanillin pod from the oak; a pleasing combination; the palate is accessible, complete, harmonious of intent and uniform in terms of its make-up. The fruit is allowed full expression and the tannins, ripe and confident, only enhance the overall favourable impression. 91
MS | A very ripe black cherry fruit, marked by a fine, cedary new oak; fullish, fresh, finely tannic, nicely balanced; a delicious sweet fruit to taste here, and although the new wood is clear, it is also well integrated, and unobtrusive, a harmonious whole, that is; sweet, pure, gently fleshy, long to taste, long and fruit cored to finish. A fine mid rank St Emilion. Better with a few years to absorb the oak. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2037+. 91
