AJ | Dark, dense black -red. Earthy, warm and full, if unfocussed: an affable arm round the shoulder. Bright, elegant, fresh and relatively brisk for Pauillac, but plenty of claretty class here and all the high-focus profile of the vintage. Well-drawn and resonant beneath the primary action: a very satisfying glassful.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2033. 90
MS | Sweet, freshly ripe, attractive nose; full, fresh, finely tannic; gently chewy, juicily ripe red fruited, attractive, lightly sinewy Pauillac, tasty, lightly lip-smacking, with a gentle complexity and good length to finish. Very attractive Batailley, a gentler style of, but a clear style of, Pauillac. Drinkable relatively soon. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2039+. 91
