SF | Mid gold with attractive aromatics; peach, honeysuckle and almond, spicy oak discrete in the background. The palate is unctuous ,the high level of sugar domineering at the moment, but not fatally so, such is the concentration behind it and wealth of tropic fruit. Botrytis from the period before the late rain, hopefully but there is just the faintest whiff of grey rot too which troubles...a shame. 87
AJ | A full, bright, glowing gold in colour. Restrained aromas at this stage, and perhaps a little cork-scalped (we only have one bottle). Either than or filter-pad notes linger, clouding out the fruits. Not unattractive, for all that; just mute in the respects you'd want it to be articulate. A good wine on the palate, with better concentration that most of the wines in the first, lower-priced part of our tasting: ample honeyed richness and some botrytis tang. My scores assumes a pristine bottle.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2030. 90
