SF | Straw gold colour, quite pale at the rim...…a nondescript, dry straw nose, little evidence of botrytis or ripe topical fruit, or any fruit at all for that matter...quite an enigma....the palate offers more, albeit with impressionistic brushstrokes and, at best, an orchard fruit freshness. Simple tarte tatin flavours, but little by way of depth... 84
AJ | Bright pale lemon gold. Ample sulphur here at this stage rather clouds the horizon -- hard to see the allure beneath. I will give it 10 minutes to clear. After that, the sulphur has indeed cleared but there isn't much fruit lift or allusion either. Creamy-sweet on the palate, and satisfying as such; almost a creme Chantilly note. But the fruit aspects of the flavour profile remain very discreet at present. A question of time? It could score better once they emerge ...Drink Dates: 2024 - 2030. 87
