AJ | Dense, saturated black-red Despite the 'testament of colour', on the aroma this is beginning to fade a bit now: sweet and graceful, but into the third age without much aromatic contour or handhold. On the palate, by contrast, this is still a dense, firmly constructed wine with plenty of chunky, freshly articulated fruit (and with some oak notes still palpable). RM | Deep dark centre, showing its age on a narrow browning rim; attractive and quite complex, savoury-cedary-leathery character on the nose, similarly reflected on the palate which retains considerable freshness and verve all the way through to the finish with its spicy tanninc grip.
