SF | Deep saturnine colour, with aromas of dark fruit and pepper spice. Cassis and cayenne. Something of the night , if you prefer. Attractive, perversely, for all that, an appeal which extends to the palate and challenges perception within a framework of apparent youthful freshness. The machinations of the mountainous slopes and the tight granitic soils, it seems, writ large, symphonically, pleasingly. 93
AJ | Dense, dark black-red; still opaque Still ample sweet, juicy fruit. Attractive, though relatively simple compared to the best of its peers. This is constructed in generous style, but the fruit qualities remain relatively simple and straightforward. Holding well in time but I don't see much further evolution to come.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2026. 88
RM | Deep almost opaque centre, just starting to show its age on the rim; rather hollow and fully developed cherry fruit nose, slightly singed and oxidised; bitter-sweet fruit but similarly showing its age on the palate with oxidised fruit tailing off on the finish. Sadly past it!Drink Dates: 2024 - 2027. 85
