BB | Ruby to pink. Exotic, mature, refined, complex, red fruits nose with crushed stones and dried roses. Rich, layered, medium to full body, lively weight less palate with long, salty finish. Another superb Sangiovese for the celar.Drink Dates: 2030 - 2038. 95
AJ | Dark black-red. Warm and fresh, cherry fruits, a primary allure: attractive. Dense, deep and rich. It is still fiercely primary; but there is so much in there that all you can say is ... wait! wait! wait! Most unusually for Italy, where wines usually come to market at least semi-mature, this is rather hard to scrutinize against its peers as it is so unevolved. Many of those peers have the edge on it for the time being, since it is so ... unevolved and inchoate ... what will it do? I will score "as now" but with a big caveat that this wine really needs time and lots of it to prove itself.Drink Dates: 2028 - 2040. 92
MP | Strange nose with an obvious note of hawthorn, hibiscus, orange peel, cranberry and cinnamon. The tannins quickly crowd out the fruit on the palate and this is leave a hollow, jammy finish that lacks the layers of flavour one expects. The finish is drying and simple.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2028. 91
