BB | Garnet to pink. Fresh red flowers, minerals, small red fruits, sweet tobacco, complex nose. Balanced palate, lively, sweet red fruit, crushed stones, red currants, spicy, long finish.Drink Dates: 2026 - 2035. 94
AJ | Dark black-red. Soft fruits in ample, creamy, enticing style. Mellow, expansive, attractive. Ducal: there's an opulence here. Very impressive wine -- provided you are open to structure in your Brunello. The ample tannins and acids here rather dominate the palate at present, and you have to set those aside in order to enjoy the fresh fruit at the wine's core. I'm confident that time will bring harmony -- so a Brunello 19 for the cellar. Very good wine both now and later.Drink Dates: 2027 - 2040. 91
MP | Medium ruby with attractive notes of camphor, red currant, red cherry, black pepper, autumn leaves and vanilla. The palate blends fine, ripe tannins and a twist of candied orange and baking spice with moderate acidity. This leads to a convincing if four-square finish that doesn't quite manage the complexity or heft we'd like and the use of oak leads to a dusty finishDrink Dates: 2027 - 2030. 92
