BB | Deep ruby to pink. Touch closed, introvert, compact, black cherries, smoked red meat, earthy, irony nose. Sweet black fruits palate, inviting, just a touch over ripe finish.Drink Dates: 2026 - 2032. 92
AJ | A very darkly coloured wine. Correct in terms of its ripe and comely fruit, but simple and straightforward compared to the best of its peers. Nonetheless you'll find considerable charm here: smooth, svelte, engaging, beckoning. That lovely tender ripeness of 2019! On the palate it is flesh and bustling, generous, full of energy: a super buy. All that is missing is that complexity and finesse -- vineyard sourcing? But much to enjoy here.Drink Dates: 2025 - 2031. 89
MP | The complex, aromatic and very ripe characteristics of this wine include cooked cherry, blackberry, liquorice, tobacco, cocoa and forest floor. In the mouth this is surprisingly lively with vibrant acidity, melded tannins and a huge dollop of ripe black fruit that drives the persistent finish. Another of the 'drink now' Brunelli we have seen in this tasting, this has lashings of fruit supported by structurally relevant tannins and chiselled acidity.Drink Dates: 2026 - 2031. 95
