BB | Garnet to pink. Open, clean, iron and red meat nose with complex, earthy character and hints of dried herbs. Clean with sweet fruit palate, herbal, long, inviting and clean finish. Needs few years in the cellarDrink Dates: 2028 - 2035. 95
AJ | Dark, glowing black-red. Amply allusive, but the cherry fruits have quite a simple style here. Very attractive, like banjo music -- but do you want to listen to it all evening? On the palate, too, this is much simpler than its peers. Lovely drinking for the short term.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2027. 86
MP | This shows an exemplary nose of floral notes including wild rose and violet alongside red currant, wild strawberry, raspberry jam, rhubarb and beetroot. Those looking for a Burgundian Brunello need look no further. The palate is half grape-half oak and the latter makes its presence felt with dusty tannins and a cloying finish suggesting that this may struggle to go the distance. The seductive nature of the nose combined with Pinot-clone aromatics make this an easy wine to enjoy but it will not pick up additional complexity with age.Drink Dates: 2025 - 2029. 94
