EA | Pale lemon green colour. A layered nose with pristine fruitiness but also hazelnut and yeasty evolution. White peach, yellow apple, hay and dried flowers. There is lovely freshness and crystaline fruit quality to airy and lacey palate. Light-weight, intense and joyously delicious, the clean taste lingers on and on. SF | Pale straw colour; nose of white tobacco, quince and late season apples; a hint of chocolate too...the palate is almost explosive, a surprise at any rate, with plenty of citric rigour and a stone fruit core which harnesses rigour and a steely purpose; linear and composed, stone fruit and nuts in support; impressive and with more to offer. 93
AR | Relatively pale in colour, this Extra Brut from the 2013 vintage is chock full of secondary aromas of dried fruits and grilled nuts with a confit lemon and honeyed note; with a still lively fresh mousse, it delivers plenty of citrusy flavours marked by a stern acid backbone of acidity that both retains freshness and brings a degree of austerity and so creating a kind of dysfunction between evolved aromas and ultra-crisp acidity on a bone dry finish. A tad harsh perhaps on its own, this could be great with the likes of prawn and lobster.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2028. 90
