At Balaban’s we relish the wine and food so our customers remember the experience. We were pleased and honored to have earned The World of Fine Wine's Three Star Award in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
Over 680 different wines make up Balaban’s wine list. The wines, inventoried at over 6000 bottles, rest in a dry storage area with modern humidity and temperature controls properly set. Over 180 of those labels sell for $20 or less. Another unique feature is Balaban’s celebrated Library Wine Collection, consisting of over 20 wines now maturing after up to 4 years. Consisting of wines carefully selected and perfectly cellared by the owners from the time of release. Our dining customers are able to enjoy any of our wines at retail pricing, not the typical restaurant pricing, with only an $8 corkage fee for bottles consumed on premises. Balaban’s has a comprehensive wine program consisting of free weekly wine tastings, weekly wine events, and monthly wine dinners; a Wine Flight program, where customers can sample and compare wines of different styles, from different wine regions, or different grape varieties; and an Ultra Premium Wine Pour, to give our customers a unique opportunity to experience superbly cellared wines not ordinarily available by the glass.
