Vineyards presents its far-reaching international wine list in a variety of formats, including by the glass, bottle, and half bottle, in a casual dining atmosphere.
An interesting two-page selection of wine flights takes center stage, and includes quirky and fun titles such as “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina”, “Hard to Pronounce” (Viognier, Grüner Veltliner, Gewurztraminer), “That’s Amore” (Primativo, Valpolicella, Chianti), and “Over Canadian Niagara Falls” (Inniskillin Estate, Jackson Triggs), to give diners the experience of a carefully-curated short wine flight during their stay.
The judges of the World’s Best Wine Lists 2017 commented: “The flight and by-the-glass [options] are very interesting for the titles and selections”. The by-the-glass is a good range of wine and at the time of writing covered three pages for red wine and two for white, which explore a nice selection of international wines including Chardonnay from Sylvester winery, Paso Robles, California; Chenin Blanc, Bougrier, Vouvray, France; Sandbanks Baco Noir, PEC, Canada; and Montepulciano d’Abruzo, Caleo, Italy.
