Pierre at The Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong

By Alex Hunt MW

Located on the 25 floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is the stunning two-Michelin star restaurant, where diners can enjoy superb modern French cuisine surrounded by stunning views over the city. Chef de Cuisine Jacky Tauvry updates the menu seasonally, and is known for visiting museums and art galleries to gain inspiration for his creative and innovative dishes. It is this channeling of Jean-Denis Le Bras’ artistic design that attracts visitors to the restaurant time and time again.

They aptly describe themsevles as “the perfect fusion of Paris passion and Hong Kong chic”. The style of food has strong roots in French cooking traditions and is presented exquisitely yet unpretentiously. The restaurant was awarded a Travelers’ Choice award in 2017, and the 2018 Wine List judges commended the wine list for its range and quality, in particular for its French wines offering.
