Bodegas Viñátigo Masterclasses return to pair naturally unique wines from the Canary Islands with fine gastronomy in The Maldives.
For wine enthusiasts and those with a taste for refined indulgence, the Bodegas Viñátigo Wine Masterclasses offer an unparalleled opportunity this season in the Maldives. Hosted at Ozen Life Maadhoo from November 18–20, 2024, and at Ozen Reserve Bolifushi from November 22–24, 2024, these exclusive events are included within the luxurious holiday plans of the two resorts.
Guiding these masterclasses will be the President of the Islas Canarias Denominación de Origen and Bodegas Viñátigo owner, Juan Jesús Mendez, and his son, Jorge Mendez, who will take guests on a journey through the rich history and unique characteristics of Tenerife’s unique wine landscapes.
Imagine savoring a crisp Viñátigo Listán Blanco or a bold Viñátigo Tintilla in extraordinary settings—from restaurants perched over turquoise lagoons to vibrant palm-fringed bars. Each sip is an invitation to explore the rugged volcanic landscapes of the Canary Islands, where the unique, ungrafted vines—many centuries old—give life to some of the world’s most authentic wines.

Guests will be guided by The Ozen Collection’s own expert sommeliers who have visited Tenerife themselves, offering insights into the subtle characteristics that make each wine unique, helping participants hone their palates to detect nuanced flavours, and learn to pair wines and elevate any soirée. The masterclasses will also delve into the sustainable winegrowing practices that set Bodegas Viñátigo apart.
