Part of The Breakers luxury resort in Florida’s Palm Beach, HMF sets itself up as a “celebration of Palm Beach high living.” On the menu is an international mix of dishes—Asian, Italian, North and Latin America. The wine list, which features more than 1,600 bins, matches it with sheer depth of big-name producers.
There’s an Aladdin’s cave feel to the collection of the world’s greatest wine estates. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti alone has in the region of 50 bins to itself, and there’s an almighty collection of classed growth claret, northern and southern Rhône, and top Italian and California wine.
The by-the-glass list is succinct but well chosen—from Ca’ Del Bosco’s Cuvée Prestige Franciacorta fizz to the Catalan red Flor del Priorat. And, as befits a self-styled temple of decadence, the list of Champagne and American sparkling wine is extensive.
