The Lake House delivers cutting edge seasonal food, paired with an unprecedented wine list.
Located in the Macedon Ranges, surrounded by world-recognized regions, such as Heathcote, Bendigo, Pyrenees and Grampians, the regions are present within the wine list. The wine list seeks representation from France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, New Zealand and the United States.
Under the direction of head chef David Green and culinary director Alla Wolf Tasker AM, the restaurant marries the food and wine for a relationship that is complementary and inspiring to one another.
The wine list is extensive yet affordable – motivated by the notion of terroir and regionality where a dish will transport you to a specific place, while the wine terroir can carry you to a far away vineyard.
