Lebanon has world-class vineyards, and the restaurant offers good wines from the country and around the world.
The restaurant put Edmonton’s dining scene on the map with a recent renovation, complete with a new sophisticated all-glass, floor-to-ceiling wine cellar.
This quirky Lebanese-slash-pizzeria-style restaurant now includes a temperature and humidity-controlled room devoted to the extensive and impressive wine collection. The grand display of wines in the wine room has gained Parkallen great recognition. Wine Spectator Magazine awarded Parkallen with its Best of Award of Excellence 2012, becoming one of the two restaurants in Edmonton to be so.
The vino collection, with 12,000 bottles is culled from auctions, other collections and wine-future offerings.
The floor-to-ceiling glass-encased space that is the Parkallen’s newest addition showcases a private reserve that features, among impressive others, a vertical collection of Château Mouton Rothschild that traverses the years 1945 to 2004.
