The Rex Whistler Restaurant, Tate Britain

By Alex Hunt MW

Originally opened in 1927, the Rex Whistler Restaurant serves a British menu, sourcing produce from across the UK and celebrating seasonality.

The Wine cellar, overseen by head sommelier Gustavo Medina, has a long held reputation for quality, selection and value.

Many wines are purchased en-premeur and laid down until they are ready for drinking.

The restaurant hosts wine dinners and events throughout the year and offers special dishes inspired by exhibitions in the gallery.
