Essi Avellan | Deep golden, orange-hued color. Mature, honey-toned nose, with dried apricot, tea leaves, and orange marmalade. Richly flavored, mouth-coating palate, with fading fruitiness. Calm mousse and intense flavors. Still alive but on a gradual decline. Opened in the glass. | 89
Alex Hunt | A very evolved amber color. Shy in aroma, developed of course, but still has signs of life, with grilled hazelnut aroma and attractive peachy fruit that rounds out the mushroomy notes of evolution. It’s a little short, running out of steam on the palate more quickly than a more exalted bottling might do. But a good drink that presents an enjoyable account of late-stage maturity. | 89
Tom Stevenson | Hugely toasty with oxidizing peach aromas followed onto the palate, supported by high acids and low-pressure mousse. | 83
