Essi Avellan | Deep mature golden color. Soft, aged nose, with slight mushroomy and earthy notes. Some complexity here. Honey-laden toffee and apricot fruit. A fresh palate still, with moderate, soft mousse left. The fruit shows signs of weakening but there is enough left for now. Fully mature and on its way down, but this would still be enjoyable to drink. | 86

Alex Hunt | Deep golden color, with an initial blast of honey giving way to mushroomy sous-bois notes on the nose. It is clearly very mature, but still effervesces slightly in the mouth, giving a little boost to the flavor up-front. The finish is a bit short and saggy now, though. This is impressive wine in itself, but past its peak. | 85

Tom Stevenson | Deep gold color, looks old before I even taste it. Rich fruit but heavily maderized. Very interesting if very old, but definitely showing age. Low-pressure mousse. Long and lingering, withatrue-brut aftertaste. | 85
