Jamie Goode | Beautifully aromatic nose, with spice, meat, olives, and herbs alongside the sweet blackcurrant and black-cherry fruit. The palate shows expressive blackcurrant fruit with some blackcurrant bud and attractive peppery spiciness, as well as a bit of smoky, charred oak in the background. A cleverly made, seductive wine of real appeal. Modern but good. Delivers pleasure. | 92
Andrew Jefford | Dark, deep black-red; just off opaque now. Perfumed grasses on the nose: haunting and penetrating, sweet-toned. Tight-grained on the palate, too, with more of that same perfumed and insinuating aromatic finesse. The acids are eased back here, which is a relief after some of the more aggressive wines in this tasting; the fruit is chic, poised, and fine-contoured, and there are some satisfactorily soft tannins. Poised and stylish wine.| 90
David Williams | A smoothly rendered, smart, suave style with appealing generosity of sweet black-cherry fruit, kissed with sweet oak. Somewhat one-dimensional, but open and accessible, with enough balancing freshness and not overworked.| 88
