Jamie Goode | Juicy, ripe blackberry and cherry-fruit here, with some peppery detail and nice grippy structure. Very correct and linear, with some polish and a hint of oak. A stylish, well-made wine of real appeal. | 92
Andrew Jefford | Deep, saturated opaque black-red. Lots of dense, rather stewy fruits: plum, cherry, and apple. Sweet and earthy, if a little raw. On the palate, this is a dense and inky wine, with lots of acidity, some tannins, and fresh, attacking, almost iron-clad plum and cherry fruits. It is showy and concentrated so would turn heads; the challenge would be to drink more than a small glass, since this white-knuckle balance does not make for much drinkability. But I suspect that this is what this variety in this place naturally delivers. It’s a stimulating and, in many ways, impressive wine.| 89
David Williams | Sweet fruit and oak: a tight and black- fruited style. Lots of dry woody tannin, and extraction. Too much? There’s some attractive black fruit in here, but it’s hard work, with a rather unyielding finish. | 87
