Jamie Goode | Distinctive nose, with sweet mint and herb notes alongside vivid blackcurrant fruit. There’s a green note, too. Highly aromatic. The palate is sweet and lively, with a green streak as well as brisk blackcurrant fruit, with some mint and citrus notes sitting under it. Showing a bit of savory development, too, this is a little disjointed, but still delivers pleasure. | 88
Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. Lurid jelly-bean fruit scents without much freshness and precision at first; smoky oak later. Rather simple if assertive wine, with the typically aggressive fruits of the region driving the palate, though there is plenty of concentration and depth. | 85
David Williams | Extremely appealing fruit: a wave of sweet plum, black cherry, and damson with enough of the tang of red plum skin to keep it from being cloying. Tannins are tamed and the finish is bright; not massively complex, but this is very drinkable at the moment. | 89
