Michael Edwards: Luminous green sheen; very elegant scents of minerals and poised, restrained richness. Less buttery than some Vaillons from ripe, powerful years like 2000 and 2005; more an impressively classic, austere character akin to ’04, plus the ’08 character of friendly fruit. Excellent. Very Chablisien. 17
