Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Generous, well-made, fine tannins, a little lacking on the mid-palate compared to the best, but a nice Médoc. Recommendable. | 93–94
Michael Schuster | Very ripe, almost to the point of spirity; full, finely tannic, fresh enough; immediately slightly warm to taste, but pure, long, fine, subtly aromatic, sweetly ripe, with a nice transparency and excellent, delicately fruited, warm length. A combination of power and relative delicacy, too, for this is in no way "thick." Impressive, of course, if a less easy glass to drink—for many—than, say, the 2016 or 2017. 2028–40. | 90–91
