Michael Schuster | Light, finely fragrant nose, subtle, gently gravelly, fragrant, floral; rich middleweight, with a deliciously vital acidity, and a very fine tannin, a beautiful balance. Sweet, succulent, gently fleshy, refined and aromatically complex; a long, graceful, rewarding wine, so fresh, and with beautiful, gentle, sweet-fruit-cored, fragrant length. The supporting tannins are there but almost imperceptible. Four of the parcels in the 2018 Petit Cheval were in Cheval Blanc itself in 2016, and this really tastes like a mini Cheval. Lovely. 2026–35+. | 92–94
