Bruno Besa | Deep ruby to lively pink. Clean, youthful, yet mature red-fruit nose, with perfectly integrated oak. Balsamic, with hints of mint and dried herbs. Medium to full body, with a firm and sweet-cherry fruit palate. Long and clean, with a lively finish. A youthful, very well-made Brunello that needs some extra aging to show its best. | 93

Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red, translucent, but with no suggestion of age as yet. Lots of sweet, ripe cherry fruits here; almost primary still. The palate has a pronounced bittersweet quality to it: cherries again, but mingled with the asperity of crab apples, too. Serious and dense wine, but the unloveliness of the fruit style (a vintage effect) holds it back somewhat. | 89

Michael Palij | A touch of VA on the nose, red fruit including cranberry and plum, the fruit is tending to the stewed or cooked, a character difficult to reconcile with this vintage. Although the color is deep ruby, the whiff of VA and extremely developed fruit profile leads me to question whether or not this has the capacity to develop. | 80
