Simon Field | Peach and poached pear, vestigial spice and mandarin fruit; a measured palate weight; a joyful scherzo and then a carefully orchestrated finish, with grip and length in noble acquiescence to the more flamboyant antecedents of flavor. | 91
Andrew Jefford | Pale silver-gold in color. Sweet, mealy, lightly oatflakey aromas; white chocolate meets summer fruits and Bircher muesli. An almost visceral appeal. Less “pretty” than some, but compelling. The palate is dense, concentrated, exotic, and commanding: deeply floral, now, but the fruit flesh is so thick and rich that you might not notice at first. There is soft acidity to lend some shape and poise to that fruit. An outstanding effort, full of aromatic lift, as well as weight and conviction. | 92
John Livingstone-Learmonth | Yellow color. The bouquet has more depth than it shows on the surface, a white-fruits compote, careful intensity. Crushed grapes and tobacco also feature. The palate is close-knit, well lined with enjoyable content, the length secure. It’s a coherent whole, with sound freshness on the second half. It could deliver a little more on the aftertaste, but that’s nitpicking a little. 2021. | 89
