Simon Field | Straw color and a nose of tarte tatin and apple crumble. Palate has mandarin, Mirabelle plums, fresh apples, hints of fennel, and even ginger behind it. An attractive purity here, spice providing tension and a little lift, ennobling the finish with a seductive cadenza. | 94
Andrew Jefford | Bright silver-gold. A little touch of something rather reductive, here, over pretty but rather low-focus aromas of peach and apricot smoothie. Lively, full, and satisfying palate, with plenty of those same summer fruits in gently musky style. Highly attractive, though a little less close- textured and fine-sewn than the very best of its peers. | 88
John Livingstone-Learmonth | Yellow robe. The bouquet is mildly robust, on brioche baked bread, orange citrus tones, a little elder and grapiness also. The palate is live and full, if a bit obvious, carries a compact, firm content, with sound enough richness on the close. It’s a bit of a yeoman, an honest wine without great pizzazz. It’s rich enough to stay steady over time. 2022. | 88
