Simon Field | Full color, the nose a shade compromised, however—almost cardboardy. Plenty of latent pleasure to be had, I am sure, but it is hitherto hidden in a miasma of stubborn viscosity. | 87
Andrew Jefford | Pale, clear lemon-gold. The aromas are just a touch reductive, but there are cream and flowers, too: lots of fresh charm once the off-notes have blown o (as they do). Fair on the palate, and against a sheaf of global varietal Condrieux, it would doubtless impress: succulent and floral. | 86
John Livingstone-Learmonth | Shiny yellow robe. The bouquet is a bit in between stages—has a rolled-up aroma of apricot, plum fruit—but on a leash, so decanting a definite step for the better. It’s a serene start. The palate supplies cozy richness with tang in the late stages. It’s toning down into a second phase now, carries a good pulp of grapey fruits, and lengthens steadily. There’s intricacy on the finale. A no-rush wine, worth thought while drinking it. 2022. | 91
