Neil Beckett | Hervé Tucki, the deeply knowledgable and passionate brand ambassador here, believes that too many producers approach village Chablis as being closer to Petit Chablis than to premier cru, whereas it should be closer to the latter. And this old-vine cuvée is certainly at least as exciting as many a premier cru. Although still a vat sample when tasted (as were the other Chablisienne wines) in November 2018, this was already well-formed on the nose, with appetizing light agrumes notes. Still a little CO2 on the palate, but despite that there is a richly silken texture, and remarkable concentration and dynamism for the level, with perfectly judged pithiness and a flourishing finish. | 89
