Neil Beckett | Mostly from relatively young vines that are better than the older vines acquired with the Clos in 2003, most of which have been replaced. A wine that reflects its privileged position next to grand cru Ruchottes. A little less floral than most, a little more confit, even lightly grillé, but nothing excessive. A beautifully supple texture but with great definition, energy, and mineral tension: great upslope style. Erwan Faiveley thinks this may be its finest vintage so far, and it is certainly the finest I have tasted. | 93
