Michael Schuster | Red-hued mid-purple; intense, if still a touch raw at the moment; a glassfillingly fragrant combination of freshly, sweetly ripe red-cherry fruit and subtle minerality, remarkably persistent in the glass. Rich, fleshy, vitally fresh, very finely tannic, a gorgeously complete balance; succulent and vivid to taste, sweet, intense, long and complex and dynamic across the palate, a wine of enormous scope, tenacity of flavor, intensity allied to subtlety, withaterrific length of flavor, and a persistence of aftertaste to match. A great combination of fresh fruit core and aromatic fragrance, a magnificently complete wine. Accessible earlier... but that would be a pity. 2035–55+. | 97–98
