Michael Schuster | Deepish red; dense, closed, tight, exceptionally subtle and persistent to smell in the glass; rich, fleshy, fresh, very finely firm in tannin; a remarkable combination to taste of intensity and finesse, very sweet, very fresh, concentrated in flavor, yet absolutely effortless; prolonged, mouthcoating in fragrance, endlessly absorbing to contemplate as both a physical caress and a cerebral pleasure. Generous and fleshy, succulent and juicy, but a volume of flavor that is on the one hand so delicate and fine, and yet so packed with subtlety, detail, and fragrance. A quite wonderful and utterly absorbing wine. Where a large glass should be the subject of contemplation, and discussion, over as much time as one can muster. Words fail, really... what can one say? 2032–55+. | 98–100
