Neil Beckett | A very special wine: only one barrel, from 70-year-old vines toward the top of the cru, but so worthwhile. Intense mid-ruby, dullish natural luster (barrel sample). Enigmatic, because so harmonious and intricately woven that it is difficult to separate the strands, beyond the fragrant rose. Magnificent scale, but effortless, balanced by gentle animating acidity and densely but finely layered tannin. | 96
