Bruno Besa | Light garnet to tawny. Delicate, floral, complex nose, with orange peel, small red fruits, tobacco leaf, cedarwood, and dried herbs. Medium to full body, with firm yet refined tannins, sweet prunes and minerals, and a long, clean finish. Classic Nebbiolo with good aging potential. | 92
Stephen Brook | The nose is light and delicate, almost febrile, but exhibits pretty raspberry and wild- strawberry fruit. Fresh and sleek, this is a pretty and undemanding style, with light tannins and acidity and no great concentration of fruit. But it’s balanced and enjoyable if forward. Best drunk young, I would imagine, before that delicate fruit begins to fade. | 87
Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep black-red. Dry and a little reductive on the aromas, lacking wealth and resource. After some time in the glass, a little shy redcurrant emerges, together with sweet forest herbs. On the palate, by contrast, you’ll find a lot here; it’s concentrated and refined, deep and classically styled, with silky textures and ample fruited depths. This is clearly a very good wine just let down somewhat by its lack of aromatic finesse, and a slight overall dryness of style; it’s drinkable, subtle, and rewarding, though. Don’t overlook. 2018–25. | 90
