Andrew Jefford | Near water-white in color. This wine is aromatically much closer to neutrality than most of its peers, which may be a good thing for some drinkers, but I miss the distinctive Scheurebe hallmarks here. On the palate, this is a very sweet Spätlese, balanced by some grassy acidity and some cleansing grapefruit pith sweetness. Correct and generous, too. | 87
Anne Krebiechl | There is a distinct notion of tropicality, of hidden richness on the nose, one moment appearing as honey, the next as pineapple. The palate comes in with mellow sweetness and viscous lusciousness. Yet the varietal citrus focus comes to the fore. This is delicately balanced, very pure and rather poised. | 92
Stephan Reinhardt | This Scheurebe is fine, fresh, and mineral on the nose, but reduced in its ripe and concentrated fruit aromas. Pretty rich and well concentrated on the round and lush palate, this is a reductive but intense, lush, and concentrated, well-structured Scheu Spätlese, with grip and tension on the salty-stimulating finish. Drink now to 2040+. | 93
