Simon Field | Volatile and plasticky, ungainly and clumsy; this is not a great sample. Second bottle richer more perfumed and powerful; length underwrites a structural imperative. More going on here. | 86

Andrew Jefford | Deep, dark black-red. Roasty ripe, with a coffee-like empyreumatic note. I wouldn’t immediately say Languedoc, but it’s not without attractions, if not hugely precise. A little bit stewy-sinewy in style. Fresh, deep, earthy, and concentrated in style, once again with a kind of lack of precision, but it makes up in force and generosity. Plenty to get stuck into here. 2018–22 | 87

Jancis Robinson | Garnet with some evolution. Plush flavors and then lots of structure. Correct build for the future even if the tannins are pretty dry at the moment. There is sufficient acidity and the balance is promising. Ripe berries and dried herbs. Vital enough, though it comes to a rather sudden end. Serve cool! 2018–25. | 88
