Simon Field | Lifted aromatics; behind that, figs and a selection from the kitchen garden. The fruit dynamic is far from agile, and the acidity seems forced and a little foursquare. | 86
Andrew Jefford | Deep, dark black-red, not far off saturation. Sweet, warm scents that, though unrefined, offer some charming evolved cherry fruit infused with thyme and cade. The palate is fresh and lively, with some tannic depth, and the ripeness is nuanced and long, as you might expect from the drawn-out 2013 vintage. A fine effort and (for me) a mature wine that is ready to drink now. | 85
Jancis Robinson | Still looks very young and crimson—almost purple. Very ambitious and confident. Seems slightly high in VA, but there is lots of luscious fruit here, too. Hint of nail polish but massively voluptuous, well-married fruit. Dry finish. Pretty impressive. 2017–24. | 88
